In case anyone's interested, I uploaded The Slender Thread on YouTube today.  :D
Most of you who read my posts regularly probably already know what it's about, but if not check out the IMDB -

If any of you watch it, I hope you like it! ♥

It's 4:30 on a Sunday morning.
I really should be in bed, but I'm too hyped up on SweetTarts & Gatorade to sleep...thank heaven for snow days.

Instead of saying the usual (but true) mantra of "I never post anymore, I need to post, etc.", I shall simply post some pretty and be on my way.

I'm pretty much convinced that she is one of, if not THE most, brilliant actresses I have ever watched in my entire life.
Seriously, how can a person go from Mrs. Robinson to Annie Sullivan to a nun to the voice of a Queen Ant?
Skills, my friend...MAD SKILLS.

I feel the need to share my other networking profiles with you all, add me if you want! (:

This is a shameless self (and Anne)- promotion entry.
:D

If you're a fan of Anne and haven't joined my semi-new community (which has recently been lacking any activity because I fail at life), then join!
You know you want to.  ;)

& because I'm FINALLY back into the groove of making videos, I've made three in the past two days...which makes me feel accomplished and yet unproductive at the same time. I really should've been doing my history project...oh well.  :P

They're here! :D )

As well as videos of pretty people, I bring doodles and a funny manip of my best friend & Dustin Hoffman.

I have no life. )

In other news, nothing too exciting has been going on lately in my world...how about all of you? I hope you're all well & happy! ♥

Pat Robertson is a fucking idiot...just putting it out there (as if we didn't already know).

In better news, I'm scheduling my classes for my senior year!
I know for sure I'm taking A.P. Literature, U.S. Government, Ecology and Film/Video Production.
The maybe's are French 4 (depending on whether or not my current teacher retires), Journalism 2 (I'm still deciding if I want to do it a second year) & Theatre 2 (depending on the same).
:D

In other news, I need some movie recommendations. (:
I'm probably going to watch Blazing Saddles this weekend and a few others on my Netflix instant queue. Any other suggestions?

& I leave you with this because I love it at the moment.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a happy & safe New Year's Eve.
I can happily say that I'm glad 2009's over, and that it's the beginning of a new decade! ♥

My New Year's Resolutions! )

I just want to say as a sidenote that I'm so very grateful for all of the wonderful friends I've made on here. LJ's such an amazing social site and I've been so lucky to have such great people on my flist. I don't what I would've done without all of your opinions and advice throughout the year, and although I may not always reply to your entries or reply to your comments on mine, please know that I read pretty much everything you all post and if things are going tough for you, you're in my thoughts.
We'll make it through 2010 together...I love you all! ♥

I have only have four hours left (well, two exam periods) and then it's breeeeeaaaaaaak! :D Not only am I excited because I can sleep in late, it's supposed to snow this weekend, AND Christmas is coming...but my Windows Movie Maker is working again, which means I can finally get back to making videos. I'm so happy. ♥ In fact, I was so excited about this that, while I should be studying for a math exam tomorrow, I instead chose to make this. It's nothing too spectacular, just some clips of some of my favorites. (:

As for any upcoming stuff, I know I'm uploading The Slender Thread if I can, and I'm thinking of making a video of The Graduate to "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. Think that'd be weird? :P

Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well & keeping warm!

Well, I am seriously considering moving to New York after high school.
I know I change my mind every week or so about all of this, but every time I think about even going to New York, I get so excited that I think about for daaaays and daaaays.

Reasons why I've changed my mind?
a) New York has everything I'd even consider doing in college - film, theatre, advertising, journalism, writing, etc.
b) I'm not, by any means, a quiet person. In fact, I pretty much hate silence - so the city's perfect for me, right?
c) The weather would be just how I'd want it; hot summers and cold winters.
d) I'd lose a crapload of weight from walking everywhere.

There are plenty more reasons I can't think of because it's midnight & I really need to go to sleep.
>.<

I'd really just like some feedback. Do any of you (or anyone you know) live/have lived in NY? Even if you've only just visited NY, what were your experiences there?

I think I just need to think through all of this some more...

Am I the only person who stays up late anymore? Everyone's always asleep when I'm online.
>.<

In other news, over the last week I've seen To Be Or Not To Be, The Producers, Corpse Bride, Turning Point, and 84 Charing Cross Road. I'm on a roll with Anne's movies - surprise, right? :P

I decided to review them (well, kind of)...
so here they are! )

The movies I'm seeing soon are Miss Potter, The Slender Thread (if it ever downloads from freaking eMule), Prisoner of Second Avenue, and Silent Movie. Anyone seen any of them?

OH! & I'm getting a record player for Christmas! I'm thinking I'll buy Amy Winehouse's Back To Black, Simon & Garfunkel, Beatles, Billy Joel, and some swing music first...
any other suggestions? :D

GAH, she's so PRETTY.

This post is getting all disjointed and lengthy, so I'll be back later with something of...well, interest.

P.S.
CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!! :D

I'm lipsyncing to Another One Bites the Dust, and my cat's looking at me quite strangely.
I'm pretty sure she's just jealous.

I just watched my 100th film of the year! :D
It was The Miracle Worker, starring none other than Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke. Needless to say, I absolutely loved it. It wasn't just inspiring and heartfelt, but surprisingly humorous. I'm a big fan of Arthur Penn's directing in Bonnie and Clyde, so it was nice to see another one of his films. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't already seen it. ♥

She's just so cute! :D

In other news, I feel like I've been really neglecting LJ. I know I say this in every post, and it has to be getting annoying by now...I check LJ every day, I just don't post a lot. By the time I get around to doing so, I forget everything I was going to write about. :/

So, what's been going on lately? I've completely stopped texting Michael, and it honestly hasn't affected either one of us. Our relationship was almost like a text message one night stand. We never talked to each other at school, and the other day we walked two inches past each other without even making eye contact. He IMed me the other night, but I'm just done with all of it...thank God.

The most important news (that everyone already knows, of course) is that CHRISTMAS IS COMING!@$#%^@
GET EXCITED! :D

The Christmas music, the presents, the snow (hopefully), the lights, the movies, the ornaments, the food, errrrrrttthhhhaaaangggg!

*breathes*
I know I'm not the only one, don't even lie.

I'm posting icons in a separate post in a few minutes, and I really do promise to post more. (:

Happy Thanksgiving! ♥

I promise a real entry is coming soon.
REALLY.

Short update :
1.) afdshfhsdef, SCHOOL IS HECTIC.
2.) I have one more movie to see to achieve my 100 for the year goal! :D
3.) New obsession?! YES.

THIS FIERCE MAMA:

The classy & gorgeous Anne Bancroft! ♥
Why is it that everyone I become obsessed with either a) have practically no pictures on the internet or b) have already passed on?
It's depressing. :(

Anyway, her hair in The Graduate and Audrey Hepburn's in Breakfast at Tiffany's have inspired me to put highlights in mine again. Hopefully, it will end up looking like something along these lines:

I used to have highlights in elementary school, but I eventually dyed it back to my normal color. I'm just feeling like I need a change over the Thanksgiving break. :P

Sooooo, if anyone's even keeping up with my crazy & (at the moment non-existent) ramblings, I'll be posting a real entry soon (probably with icons, too).
(:

Hope everyone's doing well! ♥

Well, this week's started out just fucking great.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we?
4th period, Adv. Algebra Trig - I'm picked to go up to the board and do a problem I have absolutely no idea how to do. Long story short, the teacher points out my stupidity indirectly and makes me feel completely embarassed. Later during class, I find out I have a D in that class.
Great...just great.

But wait, it gets better.
I came home today to my teary-eyed mom, saying that we have to euthanize one of our cats Matoi today. She's been really sick for the past week, and we found out she has cancer. I know it seems sudden, and you're probably thinking "Whoa, maybe you should wait."
But she hasn't been eating or drinking at all, and the tumor in her stomach keeps getting bigger & bigger. My mom's on the way to the vet now, and I just really hope she's okay coming home.

There's just been too much fucking loss in our family this year.
In March, my mom's bird Hami accidentally hung himself on a bird toy, and that really tore my mom up. The thing most people don't understand about my mom is that she absolutely loves animals. She's had a pretty shitty life (to say the least) and her animals have been the only constant thing in her life that haven't let her down.
I mean, I've always had animals around me as I've grown up. At the moment, we have four dogs, five birds, and we used to have five cats - now we have two. I know what you're thinking - "HOLY SHIT, how in the world can those animals all get along, much less be cared for?"
& that's the thing...we've ALWAYS taken care of our animals - no matter what.

About two years ago, my cat Kimmy (whom I'd had since I was two) died of liver failure. In the summer, my cat Bebe died after being sick for about a month...and now Matoi.
We only have Cookie and Sadie left.

As if all of THIS wasn't bad enough, my great-uncle on my mom's side, Doug, died this past weekend. My grandma's taking it pretty hard, because now she's the only one left out of her siblings. I don't often think of what life will be like once my grandparents (or anyone I care about for that matter) are gone. I just can't imagine it. I don't want to.

I need to start making the most of everything, tell the people around me that I honestly love them, and really live life to the fullest...
I just want to know why life has to be so tough sometimes.
